CHINGGIS KHAAN STATUE COMPLEX
Chinggis Khaan Statue complex is located 54 km from Ulaanbaatar City, a
beautiful natural scenery on the bank of the Tuul River, in the place
called “Tsonjin Boldog”, a historical place where the Chinggis Khaan
found the golden whip. In today, for memory of a man of the millennium, a
40 meters high stainless steel statue of Chinggis Khaan on the
horseback is the largest of its kind in the world. Recreation area,
restaurants, souvenir shop and conference hall occupies the back of the
horse using elevator and then walk to the head of the horse through
chest and back neck of the horse, where they can have a farseeing and
good panoramic view over the complex area.
The statue complex completed their construction work and Opening
Ceremony held on the 26th of September, 2008. The main statue area will
be surrounded by Ger camp for tourists, park, restaurant, sport complex,
swimming pool, green forest, and statue complex’s total area is 100
hectares.
XIII Century theme park
“XIII Century theme park” is located in the Tuv aimag, Erdene province,
its 96 km away from Ulaanbaatar. The purpose of the 13th Century theme
park is build and establish real time micro kingdom to make the lively
feeling for its guests during their stay by genuinely providing true
environment of the way of living and working of the 13th Century.
This is the only camp you can visit to the old time micro kingdom and
experience genuinely true environment of the way of living and working
of the 13th century.
By visiting the camp visitors will enjoy craftsmen art work, Mongolian
calligraphy, learn to write Mongolian traditional scripts, dine with
kings and queens, archery, horse training and catching with lasso pole,
riding a horse and a camel. At present, six camps and tribes provide the
service to the tourists.
Relay-station camp
This camp is situated in the entrance, inspects any outsider’s token
when they come in the relay station servant will lead and guide the
tourist to next camp.
Craftsmen camp
Blacksmiths and the craftsmen work of XIII century Mongolians were very
popular in the World. In the craftsmen camp you will enjoy seeing the
craftsmen art work such as horse hold utensils, women’s ornaments,
jewelry, arms and tools etc. Having visited to the complex you will be
amazed by their works, woolen felt items, and handmade Mongolian
carpets.
Educational camp
By visiting this camp you will have an opportunity to get know about the
unique culture of the literacy, traditional way of educating their
successors and young. Besides, tourists and guests are offered
practicing in Mongolian calligraphy, many kinds of Mongolian scripts.
Herder’s camp
The everyday life of herders, pastoral cultures, the way of breeding the
life-tock, the methods of producing dairy products, horse training and
catching with lasso pole, tanning the leather straps, riding horse and
yak, camel are all offer to your choice to experience the life of XIII
century Mongols.
Shaman’s camp
Following the customs of each clan, the Shamans of Mongolian different
clans gather around fireplace under one common sky and perform a ritual
to worship unanimously aiming for one common deed. Several kinds of
Shaman ritual of worshiping, such as worshiping for 33 heavens, cairn,
fire will be organized for visitors.
King’s palace.
It is the main attraction point of XIII Century Theme Park. You will get
know about the statecraft of XIII Century Mongols. All the state
affairs such as declaring the laws, holding a great forum are carried
out at the camp. In the King’s Palace, there will be implemented
different programs and receptions. One of them is King’s Great Feast.
Western Mongolia
The Khazakhs, also known as the Eagle hunters, live in western Mongolia.
Take the opportunity to hunt with them and their eagles if you wish.
The Great Lakes Depression covers 39.000sq km-stretching from Lake Uvs
to Hyrgas and Lake Har Us. Even more than the rest of Mongolia is famed
for its stark beauty, towering mountains and rugged scenery.
Central Region-Kharakorum
Invading Chinese forces destroyed the ancient capital of Mongolia during
the 15th century. Turtle rock still guards the walls of the lost city.
Erdene Zuu (Hundred Treasures), the largest temple complex in Mongolia,
is surrounded by massive brick walls incorporating 108stupas. The
ravages of communist oppression were cruel to Erdene Zuu but three major
temples survive and the site is still a working monastery. The nearby
Orkhon Falls were formed by unique combination of volcanic eruptions and
earthquakes around 2000 years ago, creating a place of stunning natural
beauty.
Southern Steppes
The Gobi desert is known as the “Great Gobi” in Mongolia with good
reason: after the Sahara it is the largest desert in the world. (Yolyn
Am) and rare animals such as the Gobi brown bear, wild ass (Khulan) and
herds of wild camels. Numerous dinosaur skeleton and eggs have been
excavated around Bayanzag, Algui and other areas.
Eastern Steppes
Known to the world as Chinggis Khan, Temujin founder of the largest
empire the world has ever seen, was born in Khentii Province. The region
is rich in legends about this Mongolian here and is stunning in its own
right. Khentii is a province of encircling mountains and open pastures.
Northern Mongolia
Here you can see lake Khuvsgul, Mongolia’s second largest lake. Known as
the Mongolian Switzerland, Khuvsgul offers views of breathtaking
natural beauty. Imagine a 2760sq.km alpine lake with water so pure you
can drink it. Add dozens of snow-capped mountains, thick pine forests
and lush meadows with grazing yaks, reindeer and horses. Mystical
shamans invoke lost soul from the Great Blue Sky to the sound of beating
drums.
